Living Happily Ever After… Every Now and Then

My Mom has been reading me a book since the day she met me in person when I was only 8 weeks old. It is a really special book about her travels with my sister, Kadie.

Kadie was an amazing Scottie who had a very difficult journey with cancer, and celebrated every moment of her last year with our Mom. They rode to the ocean together, saw the Grand Canyon, went to Las Vegas, stayed in a fancy hotel downtown at Christmas time, walked in 14 5k’s in a 2 month period and had a fabulous snowy birthday party with a bagpiper. What I learn the most about living a good life, I have begun to understand by living Kadie’s example. I love to run and jump and play and chase sticks and explore! My absolute favorite thing in the world is to go on car rides and adventures! My Mom and I love to chase waterfalls and hunt for wildflowers! I’m pretty good at pointing out the Columbines!

I have traveled with my Mom and Dad to Vail and Glenwood Springs, and have stayed in a few hotels, but I’m still getting the hang of this travel thing. I’ll tell you this though, I love it!

I can not wait to retrace some of the steps my sister took on her journeys! She taught me the joys of living happily ever after… every now and then!
